  Glencairn outreach services has been established since 2001 to provide quality domiciliary service for children and young adults with learning difficulties and the elderly.

The services are to  support you in areas of need, from household jobs to full support in and around the home.

Our aim is to promote independence and to enable you to lead as full and enjoyable life as possible. 

We work towards promoting all core values including choices, rights, privacy, dignity and respect. 

Our service is here for you, we provide a support package that suits your needs.

At Glencairn we also offer a service to care for the elderly in there own homes. 

Your comfort and safety are our main priority.

 At Glencairn we are registered with the Commission for Social Care Inspection and comply with all professional guidelines.

Our company has achieved the Investors in People Award.

All staff are trained to a minimum of NVQ level 2 in care and/or Learning Disabilities Award Framework and will undergo an induction and training before starting work.

All care workers are screened and checked by interview selection process, Criminal Records Bureau checks, Protection of Vulnerable Adults and necessary POCA checks are carried out when working with children.

Personal Care, Hygiene and Dressing

We can assist you with all your daily personal care and hygiene activities, e.g. general wash, bathing, shaving, dressing and general appearance. 

Meal Time Help

We can assist and support you in meal preparation and cooking to help you maintain a healthy diet.  We can also help prepare and make hot and cold drinks, and leave you snacks to hand for later in the day. 

Evening Calls

We can call in the evenings to assist you in preparing for bed, and making sure your property is safe and secure for the night ahead. 

A Friendly Face

We can call at any time to suit you for a friendly chat to make sure you are safe comfortable and well.  If you are on your own most of the time and don't feel you need any help, it can be reassuring knowing that someone will call to make sure you are safe.

Domestic Tasks and Shopping

We can offer support with domestic tasks such as light cleaning duties i.e. vacuuming, dusting, washing up and laundry.  We can also collect shopping for you or accompany you to the shops to support you when necessary.

Emergency Assistance

Are you in need of help urgently?  Have you suddenly become unable to carry out daily tasks due to temporary injury?  We can help, we can provide care at short notice to help you in your time of need.  This help can be permanent or temporary which ever you decide.

Glencairn Outreach Services are able to meet your individual needs and deliver a care package right for you.

 
 
   
   
  We will provide a care package that is suited to your needs.  We will support you in daily living, preparing and cooking meals, shopping, personal care and help you to remain as independent as possible by always providing a level of care to suit your needs. 

 
 

 
 

What Else Is Available

Glencairn works in association with Brook House who has links with local colleges and day centres, this could help you develop your educational skills and enable you to socialise with others.

What If I Am Not Happy

Glencairn has an advocacy service that can help you 

We will encourage you to maintain contact with friends and family, who you may prefer to speak to if unhappy.

 
  We will also provide services that respect and meets your religious beliefs.  Our services are offered to long term and short term service users. Glencairn is regularly monitored by Commissions for Social Care Standards, and Social Services.

What Do I Do Next

 
         
 

Choosing your Home Care with Glencairn Outreach Services is straightforward, just follow the steps below;

 
         
 

1.               Think about what services you require and get ideas from this brochure. 

 
     
 

2.        Contact your Glencairn Outreach Services office to inform them of your requirements.  We will then organise a no obligation meeting in your home so that you can discuss your needs and we will explain how your needs can be met.  At this meeting you can invite members of your family or a friend if you wish, as they can help you decide how much help you need.

 
         
 

 3.               After confirming your choices times will be arranged to best suit you, and we will work out the cost for you.  This    information will be presented in writing and signed by you for conformation before any care is commenced.

 
         
 

 4.               Once you have confirmed the costs and your care package details a care plan will be put in place as soon as you wish.

 
         
 

 5.        We accept care packages throughout Social Services, on   the Direct Payment Scheme as well as privately funded care packages.
